Biography
For the past three decades, Jenna has been everything from a parent volunteer, preschool teacher, director of an inclusive, nonprofit childcare center, mental health specialist, trainer for the Department of Defense early childhood programs, and consultant/author. Working as a teacher in a therapeutic preschool began her long career in helping teachers and programs support the social and emotional development of children, especially children whom teachers find challenging. Jenna has worked on state projects to development professional training modules on social and emotional development and is currently teaching graduate level early childhood courses for Champlain University. These days, she has the most fun traveling around the country (and Canada) to work with programs looking to implement brain-based programs that support social and emotional development. Jenna is the author Beyond Behavior Management published by Redleaf Press and co-author of Helping Children Rebound for both infants/todders and preschoolers with Cate Heroman.
