Biography
Bridgid Normand is the Director of Education and Learning at Committee for Children, a US based non-profit whose mission is to foster the safety and well-being of children through social-emotional learning (SEL) and development. For seventeen years she has helped create research-based programs to promote social and emotional skills, prevent bullying, and protect children from sexual abuse. All programs include student, staff, and family materials. She led the recent revisions of the Second Step SEL Program and of the Second Step Child Protection Unit. Bridgid was previously a teacher,a school counselor, prevention specialist, and parent educator.
