Biography
Patricia Snyder is a Distinguished Professor of Early Childhood Studies and Special Education and the inaugural David Lawrence Jr. Endowed Chair of Early Childhood Studies at the University of Florida. She is the founding director of the Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies. Dr. Snyder and her colleagues developed and have successfully supported implementation of practice-based coaching (PBC) in applied research studies, which have focused on embedded intervention/instruction for early learning, Pyramid Model, and early language and literacy practices. In addition, she and her colleagues have supported PBC implementation as part of local, state, national, and international professional learning, technical assistance, and systems capacity-building activities. Dr. Snyder has received numerous honors and awards for her research, teaching, and service. She has authored hundreds of book chapters, articles, and practice guides, many of which have focused on early childhood professional learning, practice-based coaching, and effective practices to support young children’s development and learning.
