Second Step, An Early Learning Social-Emotional Initiative of Committee for Children
The sponsor of:
Thanks to the generosity of Committee for Children, we are able to offer free webinars on social-emotional development and the principles of their early childhood program SecondStep. Committee for Children creates research-based social-emotional learning materials to help children succeed in school and in life. SecondStep is an early childhood system designed based on research and developmentally appropriate practice. Supported by music and videos, take-home activities, and stories, Second Step experiences have helped teachers instill social-emotional skills in their students for over 20 years.
Committee for Children, a non-profit organization is helping create a world in which children can grow up to be peaceful, kind, responsible citizens, and SecondStep is their initiative to begin with the youngest children.
SecondStep social-emotional learning materials are in schools from Illinois to Iraq, Chile to California. Impacting millions of children in 70 countries, Second Step helps teachers impart skills that help children learn to stay safe, manage their emotions, solve problems, avoid risky behavior, and improve their academics. These are values that are at the core of Early Childhood Investigations, and we are honored to be sponsored by this fine organization.
